Renato Moicano will headline UFC Vegas 123 against Tom Nolan on 31 October, the UFC's event listing confirms. It is a lightweight main event at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.

Moicano was left without an opponent when Brian Ortega withdrew from their UFC 331 bout with an eye injury. Rather than wait, he has been moved to a card of his own.

The UK times. The prelims are listed at 5:00pm Eastern and the main card at 8:00pm Eastern. Because Britain has already put the clocks back by then while the United States has not, that works out at 21:00 on Saturday 31 October for the prelims and midnight for the main card — so the headline fight lands in the small hours of Sunday 1 November.

It is an unusually clean one to plan around: the main card starts exactly as Saturday becomes Sunday here.

The fighters. Moicano is 21-7-1 and ranked 11th at lightweight, last seen submitting Chris Duncan in April. Nolan is 11-1-0 and ranked 14th, coming off a unanimous decision over Farès Ziam in June. A win moves either man up a division where almost nothing separates the names below the top five.
